The opening cinematic for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt hit the Internet this morning. CD Projekt Red announced the release of it via the official Twitter account for their hit series.

Geralt is tracking a woman--presumably Yennefer-- struggling through a battlefield in the scene. In the Witcher II: Assassins of Kings, an amnesiac Geralt was struggling to remember what happened to Yennefer. He searched for clues of her whereabouts.

A big clue came at the Assassins of Kings; a witch who was near-death told him where his lost love was. The player decided whether or not the witch lived.

The cinematic showed off Geralt's intellect and his confidence in uncertain situations. He finds clues such as a broken branch and a discarded jewel. He links both to the woman for whom he searches.

Wild Hunt is one of the most anticipated games of 2015 with a map that makes Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim look small by comparison. The Witcher series is known for decision-driven storylines where the player can influence the rise and fall of kingdoms.

In addition, Assassins of Kings allowed the player to choose between different love interests--depending on their allegiance.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is scheduled to launch on February 24, 2015 for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. For more about the upcoming title, visit its official website here.
