Entertainment Weekly exclusively revealed the first look at the live action version of Aladdin directed by Guy Ritchie. While the movie is highly anticipated, many people did not like the look of Will Smith's genie.

In the Disney original movie, Genie was voiced by the late Robin Williams and was a huge blue character. The initial photos from the live action reveal only showed the human form of the character.

Will Smith has now clarified on his official Facebook page that we have not seen the final form of his version of Genie. The reveal today only showed what the character looks like in his human form.

"BAM!! First look at the Genie 🧞‍♂️, Princess Jasmine, and Aladdin! Check Me Rockin’ the Top Knot Ponytail Vibes in Entertainment Weekly 😆 (and yes, I’m gonna be BLUE! 🙂 This is how the Genie is in Human / Disguise Form. My character will be CGI most of the movie.) — with Naomi Scott, Genie, Mena Massoud, Walt Disney Studios, Aladdin and Entertainment Weekly in Agrabah

Aside from Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie, photos have also been revealed looking that Abu and Jafar looks like. The movie is trying its best to replicate the look of the animated film, although nothing is 100 percent accurate.

Disney will be releasing its live action version of Aladdin in North America on May 24th, 2019. The first trailer should be released by early next year. Hopefully the final look of Genie won't upset people!
