Scarlett Johansson has become an action star.

Between her role as Black Widow in "The Avengers" movies, as well the recent "Captain America" sequel, along with the surprise hit "Lucy," she may be the most bankable female action star in recent memory.

Johansson, however, has to contend with something her male counterparts don't -- pregnancy (though with Steven Seagal it's tough to tell).

The star, who is pregnant with her first child by fiance Romain Dauriac, was recently shown in photos by E! Online eating ice cream and looking much less svelte than she did in her recent action roles.

The site also reported that camera tricks and clever shooting had to be used during the making of "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" to hide her pregnancy.

"It's always funny," said co-star Chris Evans, who has worked with Johansson on four other films. "You walk by, 'Hey, Scarlett--oh, weird. You're not Scarlett at all. Sorry.' A lot of fake Scarletts around."

When Johansson was able to shoot, she wasn't forced to hide her growing baby bump behind oversized props. "She's not going to spend the whole movie carrying groceries," director Joss Whedon told Entertainment Weekly.

"We didn't trim any scenes. We're like, 'We'll make it work.'"
