On Black Friday 2015 J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar took part in freestyles over one of their biggest tracks respectively.

Cole took on "Alright" while Lamar obliterated "A Tale of 2 Citiez." Now that there is more holiday buzz, is it possible that the two could release a little Christmas present for fans?

Black Friday was definitely a big day for hip-hop fans in 2015 as both Lamar and J. Cole treated fans to some pretty heavy lyrics. The "Alright" and "A Tale of 2 Citiez" heightened the talk of a possible collaborative mixtape between the two artists.

Possible album artwork from the project began circulating around the web but Cole stated in his "Alright" freestyle that the world couldn't handle both he and Lamar on the same project.

He also said that the album would not be dropping in the freestyle, however, fans are still holding out hope that it could be coming.

After the big Black Friday reveal it wouldn't be too crazy to think that J. Cole and Lamar would be willing to give their fans another dose of their lyrical abilities. Perhaps J. Cole on Lamar's "The Blacker The Berry" and Lamar on J. Cole's "Fire Squad" would be something that fans could enjoy.

It really is just wishful thinking but imagine how hard both artists would go on those tracks. Both artists have been pretty quiet as of late but J. Cole does have his 2014 Forest Hills Drive series that is leading up to his concert film special on HBO. If we don't see some new freestyles from the guys on Christmas, the next best thing will be J. Cole's upcoming project in February that has yet to be named.
