Wikileaks lost a lot of credibility today. After days of promotion, the giant Wikileaks Hillary Clinton story turned out to be a non-story.

THEY ARE OUT: Wikileaks Releases Hillary Clinton Transcripts

Conference a Flop, Appears to Walk Back Claim about Clinton

Julian Assange has made his statement. Although he claims that there will be information on three major institutions, as well as thee U.S. elections, Assange said he would not release that information today.

After that he made a PBS-like beg for donations, and then tried to shill his book.

During the brief part of the press conference in which he discussed new material, Assange said that he wouldn't release any U.S. material when it is the middle of the night in the U.S. But he claims that he has a publication schedule for the next 10 weeks that includes information on:

- Google
- the War
- arms
- US election
- mass surveillance
- Oil

A reporter asked whether the upcoming material will "destroy Clinton." Assange responded that he has been misquoted in relation to that; he does not intend to harm Hillary Clinton.

He then walked back claims of devastating material for Clinton: "Are our upcoming publications significant in relation to the US election? Yeah, we think they're significant.

Do they show interesting features of US power factions and how they operate? Yes, they do."

That was all Assange said about Clinton, and it definitely appears that what everyone thought Wikileaks had was much more significant than what they actually had.

When asked about whether Wikileaks had anything on Republicans, Assange had a very short reply "there's a lot of fascinating angles."

Original Story

Julian Assange was scheduled to appear later this week for a major announcement on the balcony of the Ecuadorian Embassy (where he has been holed up for several years to escape prosecution in Sweden).

But things quickly escalated when a Trump surrogate, Roger Stone, tweeted this:

It has been hypothesized for several months that Julian Assange and Wikileaks have a large cache of emails from Clinton, which Assange claims contain some earth-shattering revelations.

Assange has hinted that this cache of emails came from DNC staffer Seth Rich, who was mysteriously murdered earlier in the year.

Pundits have long speculated that the information was in Assange's possession, but nobody knew when the information was to be revealed.

So What Could Wikileaks Have on Hillary Clinton?

So what could be in the cache of emails? Here are the possibilities:

A revelation related to the Clinton Foundation It is possible that the leaks contain some information related to the Clinton Global Foundation.

The Foundation, which has been controversial for several different reasons, may be connected to the DNC via emails related to "pay-for-play" deals.

But there are some issues with this theory: if the leaks indeed came from the DNC staffer (as explained above), it's unlikely that there could be any huge revelation regarding the Clinton Foundation, since any revelation about the foundation would involve the State Department, not the DNC.

A revelation related to Clinton's health The DNC is more likely to have information that sheds light on questions regarding Clinton's health.

If there was some evidence that the DNC was aware of health incidents involving Clinton, it would be significant.

Assange hinted at the possibility of a health-related leak when he posted and later removed a survey about it in mid September.

But in this scenario, it doesn't seem like the revelations would be able to upend the election.

Also, it seems like a health issue that the DNC would have documented couldn't be that significant, otherwise Clinton would have kept it secret from them.

There would be no real reason for Clinton to share health information with the DNC.

A revelation related to Clinton's relationship with donors To us, this is the most likely scenario. The DNC would definitely have information relating to donors, and as we saw in previous leaks, there is a lot of confidential information that the DNC has related to donors.

This could be a major revelation, especially if there is some sort of collusion between Clinton, the DNC, and the SuperPACs that are supporting Clinton.

Regarding donors, there are two hypotheses for what the information could be: 1) It's possible that Wikileaks has information on donors that show some sort of favors being given, another "pay for play" scheme, or 2) It's possible that they have information on Clinton's relationship with progressives who supported Bernie Sanders -- for example, Clinton may have said something about them or there may be evidence of collusion between the DNC and Clinton.

Wikileaks' Assange to Release Clinton Information from Berlin due to Assassination Threats

As abruptly as it was announced, Wikileaks called off its balcony announcement, because of credible "specific" threats of an assassination. Instead, they will be releasing the information during the Berlin press conference early Tuesday morning.

The Berlin press conference he's referring to is the Wikileaks 10th anniversary celebration, which will be taking place on Tuesday October 4th at 4:00 AM US/eastern time (10 AM central European time).

Originally, the Berlin Wikileaks anniversary conference was not intended to break any news, but it now that Assange's balcony announcement has been cancelled, it looks like the news will be broken via video conference at the conference.

So is this the big October surprise that we've been expecting? Could the election change completely this week? According to Wikileaks, Clinton thinks so.

Wikileaks is now claiming that Clinton "proposed [a] drone strike on Julian Assange":

They reference an article in The Pundit that says this (bold added):

That is when a frustrated Clinton, sources said, at some point blurted out a controversial query .

"Can't we just drone this guy?" Clinton openly inquired, offering a simple remedy to silence Assange and smother Wikileaks via a planned military drone strike, according to State Department sources. The statement drew laughter from the room which quickly died off when the Secretary kept talking in a terse manner, sources said. Clinton said Assange, after all, was a relatively soft target, "walking around" freely and thumbing his nose without any fear of reprisals from the United States. Clinton was upset about Assange's previous 2010 records releases, divulging secret U.S. documents about the war in Afghanistan in July and the war in Iraq just a month earlier in October, sources said. At that time in 2010, Assange was relatively free and not living cloistered in in the embassy of Ecuador in London. Prior to 2010, Assange focused Wikileaks' efforts on countries outside the United States but now under Clinton and Obama, Assange was hammering America with an unparalleled third sweeping Wikileaks document dump in five months. Clinton was fuming, sources said, as each State Department cable dispatched during the Obama administration was signed by her.
