Today, Wikileaks released another set of Hillary Clinton emails from John Podesta.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #5505 Bernie Baby

Clinton staffers joked about Bernie Sanders, comparing him to a baby.

Since all babies look like 80 year old men, that is not a crazy guess.
...
Karen - we all know the baby will be named Bernie, so stop keeping us in suspense.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #5502: More friends in the press

Tide does seem to be shifting a bit on this, great work by the press shop. Cummings is helpful as is AP. I do think that if Hillary doesn't speak to this today, people will assume she's guilty though. With normal people, if you are accused of being a criminal, they expect you to deny it pronto.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #5473: A Question about UFOs?

Is Hillary Clinton's team really discussing UFOs?

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #6399: Calling Bush an a---hole?

Clinton loyalist and Clinton SuperPAC official Paul Begala said this:

> From: Begala, Paul
...
> Then I am all for it. Keep our boot on this asshole's neck.
...
> The idea is important. As John always reminds us, "Keep Bush in the
> Frame.". so, yes, I would strongly support this, so long as you, Tom, think
> the budget is realistic and not wasteful.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #6433 Proposal for a White House Reality Show

A proposal discussed between Podesta and a friend is about a potential White House reality show.

Hi John! Hope all is well. Just a quick question. In light of the mid-term elections, wouldn't you think that a nationally televised weekly "news/reality" program depicting daily life inside the White House and the West Wing might be exactly what could help restore faith and excitement in the Presidency and the President's agenda -- even help move it forward? Personally, I was so disheartened by the results of the elections, I feel strongly about revisiting the project. In your opinion, do you think there's anything I can do to revise or add to our aforementioned proposal to which the White House might readily respond. I firmly believe there's untold benefits for the White House to have that weekly access to the American public on a major television network.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #6485: Non-Partisan VoteVets Helping Clinton

Supposedly non-partisan VoteVets.org staffer sent poll results to Clinton staff early so that they could plan. They are telling Clinton how to frame their arguments

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to alert you about a new poll that VoteVets has conducted of veterans - but has not released, yet. We used both Dem and GOP pollsters on this one, on the VA issues, how they view it, and what they want and don't want to see happen.
Because of the hits Secretary Clinton is taking in the media, we thought we should bring this poll to you, quickly, and before it is public. In short, most of what the Secretary has said is right. Our poll found that veterans very much like the care they get at the VA, way more than the care they get from the private health care system. And, while they do think wait times need to be reduced, they want to see it done by adding more doctors and nurses. Most importantly, overwhelmingly, they say they'd vote against any candidate who supports privatizing the VA.
We've also polled certain ways to frame this argument, and want to share that with you, as well, because we know the Secretary is announcing her veterans plan soon. We think we have very strong data on how best to talk about these issues in a way that will be positively received by veterans.
Please let me know if you can hop on the phone with me for 20 minutes to go over the findings. We'll get someone from the pollster's shop on, too, so you can ask anything you'd like of them.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #6546: "Black Vote"

The HRC team discusses hiring a black adviser to get the "black vote"

The black is obvious super critical. Im hearing the same complaint in political circles that i continue to hear while fundraising. "The campaign doesnt value black folks and takes us for granted". Can I make a suggestion? A black campaign vice chair or Sr advisor would go a long way during the primary and send the message that, Hillary puts her actions where her mouth is, and actually does appreciate the black vote.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #6548: Washington Post Writer Gives Heads Up

A writer for the Washington Post was doing a story on John Podesta in relation to donors and Clinton, and here's the message she conveyed to Podesta before publishing the article:

I just wanted to give you and John a heads up on a story that might run as early as Monday. Long story short, it's about the ethics rules Obama adopted in 2009, and how they've been implemented. In that context, I mention that some WH officials have had ties to advocacy groups and activists before entering the WH even if they weren't formally lobbyists. I mention that John accepted donations from Hansjorg Wyss and Tom Steyer when he headed CAP, and obviously they care about environmental issues. I had asked Frank about this when John was still in the WH, but we never closed the loop on this.

Anyway, it is just one line well into the text of a long story, but I didn't want it to catch you both off guard.

Email 6009: Another Tipoff from the Washington Post

I've scoured the Clintons' tax returns and other financial documents and will be doing some work with the Washington Post in that regard. Picking up on our chat a few months ago, who is best suited/most knowledgeable to be my interlocutor? My timing is uncertain: an old pharmaceutical story of mine is coming back into the news with a trial in two weeks and I'm not yet sure what that means. Plus my daughter's wedding is in four weeks; full speed ahead there. At my age I'm not letting the ball juggling overwhelm me, so I'm sure we can work out a mutually convenient arrangement.

BTW: are you aware of a forthcoming---in the next few days---massive examination of the Clinton Foundation by a conservative financial analyst? My understanding is that raises questions about the foundation's financial reports and its shift into areas---AIDs, for example---that exceeded its original authorization from the IRS. I'm not writing anything about it but curious if you have heard anything.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #6185: A Tip Regarding Emails?

Did Hillary Clinton's camp get a tip from the State Department regarding her emails?

Someone here just got a tip that the State Department may be planning to release her Benghazi emails tomorrow or Monday. Not sure the source is reliable. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #5780: True Thoughts on the TPP/TPA

This was what staffers were looking to say regarding the TPA/TPP:

Look, I'm focused on the final deal, and whether it will measure up. If it does, I'll support it. If it doesn't, I won't.

TPA is about Senate procedure - and in any event it's just a draft proposal making its way through a Senate committee. I want to focus on the substance: will TPP be a good deal, or not? We haven't seen the details so we can't answer that question yet.

Let me say this about TPA. I believe that President Obama should have the negotiating authority to conclude a transpacific agreement that works for the American middle class and advances American leadership. But I don't believe we should give an open-ended fast track to the next president. I hope I'm the next president, and I think I should have to justify fast track to the new Congress. And if a Republican is the next president, I certainly don't want to give fast track to them now - heck, that's why I voted against fast track for President Bush.

These are all procedural issues. The key for me is whether the final deal passes two tests: pass two tests: First, does it raise wages and create more good jobs at home than it displaces? And second, does it also strengthen our national security? Let's wait and see that final deal.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #5817: Bill de Blasio's Real Thoughts on Bernie Sanders

1. As I mentioned to Robby, I accepted Bernie Sanders' request for a mtg today. Will try to keep it low-key but assume it will leak out. My message to him (saying this in confidence to you) is that I will always want to work with him in the future and will never have a bad word about him, but won't be supporting him in this campaign.

Hillary Clinton Wikileaks Email #5956: Why is the Center for American Progress Picking Federal Housing Finance Agency?

An email to John Podesta from a Center for American Progress employee regarding FHFA positions (also note how they are grouped):

Sorry if this is very late: A few thoughts. Went through a whole bunch of other housing finance agency names but for FHFA jobs these were only ones that made the cut.

YOUNGER: Shaun Donovan if he didn't end up near top at HUD; I am increasingly high on the idea but I see pressure for diversity. I actually think he would be good for NEC too -- maybe he won't want a staff job. But larry needs a sharp person he would take seriously from housing finance world as the entire nationalized housing market is rebuilt. If could influence larry, I could argue at least as important than what could do at HUD.

MINORITY: (1) Brian Hudson, CEO of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. AA. I don't know him personally but he is very respected in the State Housing Finance Agency world. Been there since 1975. On Board of PA Home Loan Bank (overseen by FHFA -- don't think should be conflict). (2) Phyliss Caldwell. AA. Also don't know her but by reputation. People all talk well of her but I am a bit leary she'd be treated as seriously by the treasury crowd. Was head of community development banking for Bank of America. Recently named ED of Washington Area Women's Foundation. (3) Shekar Narasimham. He is by business experience a MF and commcerical finance guy. But VERY smart. Knows the system and structure. Creative thinker. (See bio below.)

OLDER, NONDIVERSE, AND CLINTON: Ludwig.

OLDER, NONDIVERSE, NONCLINTON: Chuck Muckenfuss. Gibson Dunn banking lawyer; former OCC, FDIC senior staff from Carter era.

Shekar Narasimham was Managing Director for Agency and Funds Management at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company. Prior to that, he was Chairman & CEO of The WMF Group, Ltd., a publicly traded commercial mortgage financial services company which was acquired by Prudential in 2000. Mr. Narasimhan built WMF to a position recognized as a leader in providing multifamily and commercial real estate financing in the United States. Mr. Narasimhan has served on the Boards of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA), National Multi Housing Council (NMHC), Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies and Cooperative Development Foundation. He has chaired and moderated numerous forums on multifamily and affordable housing, commercial securitization and technology for the MBA, NMHC, NHC, Fannie Mae and the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation. Mr. Narasimhan has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
