Why Has There Been No Progress In Finding Corey Haim's Abuser?

It has been nearly two months since Radar Online and other publications claimed to have evidence pointing to certain Hollywood bigwigs in the rape of Corey Haim. Soon after, one of Corey Haim's best friends came out and accused two individuals of being complicit in it.

Yet there has been no progress, no further investigation, nothing. Just radio silence. So what's going on?

Radar Online Breaks the Corey Haim Story

In September, the world was shocked when more than six years after his death, Corey Haim's rapist was about to be revealed. Radar Online made huge announcements which quickly spread across the web.

In their article, they wrote: "Hollywood is poised to out the A-list star who raped tragic '80s child star Corey Haim and has brazenly gotten away with the abuse for almost three decades...

In what would be the biggest development yet in exposing the seedy underbelly of organized pedophilia at the heart of Tinseltown, people close to the late Haim -- who died in 2010 of a drug overdose at the age of 38 -- are threatening to out the pedophile who raped the teen prodigy."

Yet after that, Radar Online essentially dropped the story.

Corey Haim's Friend Makes Shocking Allegations

Then, only days later, Corey Haim's close friend, and a friend to his mother, Greg Harrison made a huge and controversial accusation: that when Corey Haim was discussing his alleged abuser on his reality show The Two Coreys, "the person Corey Haim was referring to in this episode is the man named Dominick Brascia, who also happened to be a friend of Corey Feldman's" (from Harrison's statement, bold and link added).

In a long and emotional post on Facebook, Harrison talked about the pain Corey Haim's mother felt, and how the decision to come out and accuse Brascia was difficult for him. But he felt he needed to:

I have had enough of the lies! I've had enough of all the deception and distractions to draw people away from the truth as told to me by Corey Haim. What I am about to say is not my opinion, it comes straight from the mouth of Corey Haim. I have also had enough of listening to people accusing and blaming Judy Haim for not protecting her son Corey. Let me tell you about this brave amazing woman who Corey loved dearly and often affectionately referred to her as, "The Blonde Poet". Picture Judy Haim (The Blonde Poet) barging into a room and grabbing a pool cue and threatening Actor-Director and pedophile Dominick Brascia, to get off her son.

Along with that claim, Harrison made another shocking claim (again from Harrison's statement, bold added):

It was Corey Feldman who introduced him to Actor - Director and Pedophile Dominick Brascia. It is also public record in many interviews that Feldman did and is no secret, that Feldman was jealous of Haim. Corey Feldman introduced this pedophile to Haim and a lot of other boys.

...

Everything Corey Feldman is doing and saying is to take all of our attention off of Haim's original question to him on the little show called, The Two Corey's. Both Corey Feldman and Dominick Brascia are doing things to take the focus off of themselves and their involvement in both the abuse and pain that they have afflicted upon our Beloved Corey Haim.

In the statement, Harrison refers to this clip from The Two Coreys:

But that wasn't all. Harrison also said he believed that certain publications were covering up the whole thing, and that someone may have been paid off to keep quiet.

Then -- Nothing

Harrison's accusations got some news play, but they quickly disappeared into the ether. And Radar Online hasn't really brought up the story in a material way since September.

But Harrison hasn't stopped talking. He later wrote this:

As people are trying to understand what it is that I have done and said, it is important to note that I am not the anonymous source Radar refers to in the original article -- I will say it again. "I am not the anonymous source Radar refers to in the original article."

This just in: Here is the key issue at hand: the article below in this thread. In the article in the comment section that I posted, they stated this:

On Saturday, The Wrap published an interview with Radar Online's chief content officer Dylan Howard, who said he had no time frame in mind when Radar is planning to publish the name of the abuser.

Remember Love conquers all! The world doesn't need anymore hate right now. Thank you for all your love and support. #HaimHigh. Keep pouring out your love to Judy and Corey Haim. Corey Haim will get his star and truth and righteousness will prevail by God's grace in a perfect way. Praise God!

In this and other posts Harrison suggested that the person he named as Corey Haim's abuser was NOT the same person that Radar Online was planning to out.

Harrison also said that he was not the source for the Radar Online article.

He said that he simply felt he had to set things straight, especially in relation to Corey Feldman, who has been making a big push to promote his new music lately.

With all of the publicity that Corey Feldman has been getting, Harrison said he was sick of what he believed was Feldman's using Corey Haim for his own purposes.

You can see how Harrison is thinking in the following exchange. A commenter wrote this to Greg Harrison (bold added):

Finally the finger gets pointed at the terrible trouble maker himself FELDMAN! THIS IS REALLY WHY HE'S DECIDED TO SHUT UP FINALLY! After all the attention he's brought to himself by using Corey and his name his story etc etc to stay relevant he's now ?z'(C)ing his pants at the fact that he isn't coming up smelling like rose's anymore, but that in fact he could be (and should be in my opinion) the reason any of this happened to Corey in the first place! He dodged the bullet when CH confronted him about it on "The two Coreys" in that now infamous episode...CF changed direction of the conversation and avoided answering the question "what did you do when I was 14 1/2, when I was getting raped so to speak"? Not this time pal you're not getting away with it again! This is how all these journalists and reporters should be addressing this situation they should be acknowledging and asking exactly what Feldman's role was in all of this! This is why CF now wants to no longer speak about any of this not because he really cares about Judy and that's what ppl really need to know! Sadly though the little narcissistic freak can't help but love all the attention and he can't help but use this in any way possible too plug his book of lies and horrific music...

And Harrison's response is "If it is possible for me to give you a standing ovation in this text consider it done.

Jasmine Millington I applaud you! You are amongst the intelligent life forms on this planet. There seems to be so few of us."

What Will Happen Next in Finding Corey Haim's Abuser?

It's unclear what's going to happen now.

Harrison has made his allegation, but it doesn't seem that any outside evidence to support the allegation has been found.

And Radar Online continues to keep what they know quiet, even though they made such a big deal about releasing it.

It's possible that the only way this case will move forward is if Corey Feldman tells the complete and honest story about what happened. It's also entirely possible that we may never know what happened.
