Last night was one of the most emotionally gripping episodes of "The Vampire Diaries," but there was one character that seemed to be M.I.A. Where was Tyler(Michael Trevino) ?

Last night both Caroline (Candice Accola) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) suffered through two of their toughest emotional challenges. Elena finally had enough and decided to have Alaric (Matthew Davis) compel her to forget all about her love Damon (Ian Somerhalder).
Meanwhile, Caroline finally caught up with Stefan and fans of the show may have thought that Tyler would be the one to comfort her when she found out that Stefan never listened to her messages.
However, it was in fact Enzo (Michael Malarkey) that came to the rescue of Caroline. Not only was Tyler not there for Caroline, but he wasn't a part of the episode at all neither were the two witches Luke and Liv.
The show may have strategically put this episode together to focus on the love triangles to come.
One question that may be on all viewers minds is will Elena still believe she is in love with Stefan now that Damon is out of the picture and how will Caroline deal with that if it comes true?
Yesterday Trevino didn't do a lot of promoting for the episode that he wasn't a part of.
Instead he took to Twitter and Instagram to post a "throwback Thursday" photo from his time spent at Tomorrowland, one of the world's largest EDM experiences that take place in different cities worldwide.
Fans who missed Trevino this week might have to wait until next week to find out what is up with Tyler.
