With much of the cast of "The Originals" intact, the absence of Clair Holt (Rebekah Mikaelson) is beginning to seem a little permanent.

Recently, Holt took a trip down memory lane as she posted a throwback thursday photo of her and Nathaniel Buzolic (Kol Mikaelson) on the set of "The Vampire Diaires." Both the cast and crew of "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries," have been intermingling in each show.

This season Nina Dobrev's character Elena is expected to make an appearance on "The Originals," but the intermingling isn't the story here.

The absence of Holt's character is seeming more permanent as the season runs on. Rebekah is keeping the son of Klaus and Hayley safe and after her first narration and small role in the season opener, that's as much as fans know right now.

In fact, there has barely been a mention of Rebekah in this new season, partially because there are bigger problems surrounding Klaus, Hayley and Elijah.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the Mikaelson brothers and Hayley are at all concerned about Rebekah but hopefully fans will be getting to see Holt's character soon in episodes to come.

In the meantime Holt will continue to stay occupied with some YouTube videos, such as the "Sprinkling vs. Raining Debate" on YouTube which she happens to think is the best video on the internet according to a Twitter post.
