Warner Bros Wants A 'Familiar Face' For The Batman

The Batman will be released in the year 2021, although Warner Bros has yet to announce the lead actor for the movie.

A new report suggests that the studio is aiming for someone familiar to play the role of Batman and Bruce Wayne.

Director Matt Reeves wants a younger Batman to be in his movie instead of the older version that we got with Ben Affleck.

Warner Bros on the other hands sounds like they want a familiar face to play the lead character.

This report comes courtesy of Justin Kroll from Variety. You can see his tweet posted down below.

"THE BATMAN: this sounds like it could move faster then people would expect with the date set. Hearing studio wants a familiar face and Reeves has his certain age in mind and that age is very specific like I said two names within 7 years of each other; "Too young, too Old'."

What we do know so far is that this will be a different Batman so Ben Affleck isn't expected to reprise his role.

This is supposed to be younger version of the character so an actor in his '20s or '30s will fit the bill.

For now, all we can do is wait and see who will be cast in The Batman in the near future.

The Batman has an official release date of June 25th, 2021. It will only be a matter of time until we know who the cast will be.
