Though "The Chess Match" is just one minute and 18 seconds long, Wale gives us an old school freestyle in his latest track.

"With his collaborative mixtape with producer A-Trak just two days away, Wale comes through 'The Chess Match,'" reported HotNewHipHop.com.

"After a short introduction from Wale's (apparent) mentor Jerry Seinfeld, the track kicks right into an extended verse on race relations."

The smooth guitar mixed with the soul inspired drums transforms the one minute track into something extremely special to the ear. It's refreshing to see Wale back to the verses that made fans believe in him as an artist in the first place.

He is an often underrated lyricist and though he embraces the MMG label as they embrace him as well, it never really seemed like the sound he was comfortable with.

Now that he is able to bring something is the old school Wale style to the table fans should look out for some good music ahead.
