With holding the #1 spot on the Alternative Charts with his single "Riptide" for four consecutive weeks, Vance Joy has been named VH1's "You Oughta Know" Artist for the month of September.

Vance Joy's upcoming album Dream Your Life Away, which features the hit single "Riptide", will be out via Atlantic Records on September 9th. Until then, you can stream the full album live on VH1.com.

Vance Joy, singer and songwriter from Melbourne, has received and earned a number of extraordinary accolades in the past few months. First, the artist was named among Shazam's "10 Artists Predicted to Break in 2014" and Spotify's "Spotlight Artists for 2014" rankings.

The artist was also named Time Magazine's "Artist to Watch" and one of Billboard's "Top 10 Artists Making Global Noise". USA Today even ranked the talented musician among their "Five Australian Acts You Need to Know".

"Vance Joy cut his teeth in Melbourne's folk scene, armed with a collection of exquisite, heartfelt songs penned during his post-university travels in India and Southeast Asia," Entertainment Weekly recently reported of the artists quick success.

"Bigger shows quickly followed, including a sold out Australian headline tour and treks with such diverse artists as Ben Howard, Of Monsters and Men and Julia Stone, as well as US dates alongside Lissie and Tom Odell.

Neon Gold declared "Riptide" to be one of the best things to happen to us all year."

Vance Joy is currently touring overseas, but will return to the United States in October for a headlining tour alongside labelmate Jaymes Young.
