Valve, the creator of Steam, has updated their popular digital video game market. Hoping for players to have an easier time searching for games, Valve is advertising the new Steam Discovery Update as, "A smarter storefront, personalized just for you."

"Discover your next favorite game," Valve stated on the official site for their product, "The Steam Discovery Update makes it easier to find exactly what you want when shopping for a new game experience."

Valve is trying to tailor the experience to each individual customer.

"Specifically, the new features at your disposal from the Home page include personalized recommendations based on your gameplay," Valve stated,"reviews from your favorite community Curators, and powerful new search and discovery tools."

The most important part, however, is that Steam can tell what games are in your library.

"Steam now tracks which games you own," PC World reported, "so it'll stop recommending you buy Portal 2 when it's sitting right there in your library.

In less personalized sections of the store (such as the New Releases tab) games you already own show up with a big 'In Library' banner."

Steam has become a major part of the gaming industry. With over 100 Million active users, the online market is creating concern for industry competitor, Gamestop.

Currently downsizing, the once dominant retail chain announced that it is closing all of its locations in Spain.
