Unpopular Main Event For WrestleMania 34 Already Planned

WrestleMania 33 has not even happened yet, but WWE is already planning for WrestleMania 34 in 2018.

The main event is going to be a match that many people may not like.

If plans do go ahead, it's likely fans will try and hijack the shows again much like they did in 2014 when Daniel Bryan was snubbed from the WWE title picture.

According to the Wrestling News Observer, WWE is planning to have Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34.

The match will be for the Raw Universal Championship.

If you remember correctly, this was also the main event of WrestleMania 31. That being said, that match didn't have a clean finish when Seth Rollins came in mid-way to make it into a Triple Threat.

As of right now, it's unknown if Brock Lesnar will keep the Universal Title for one year. Lesnar is trying to take the belt off of Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 on April 2nd, 2017.

It's possible Lesnar won't have the belt for one year since that's way too long for Raw to be without a champion.

After all, Lesnar only works part-time dates and it would seem weird for Raw to have no main belt for so long.

As for Roman Reigns, the report suggests WWE is still keen on pushing him as the main guy of the company. Even though fans have rejected Reigns since 2015, the company still want him to be the top babyface.

They've been trying this for years and nothing has worked. At this point, they should try and turn him heel to shake things up.

Not to mention fans are getting sick of seeing the same people in the main event scene all of the time. Apart from Reigns, WWE keeps pushing its old stars to the top of the card.

Newer stars rarely get the opportunity now to main event WrestleMania. Part-time wrestlers have had a spot in the main event of WrestleMania since 2012.
