United Front Games, currently developing Triad Wars, stated that they have an interest in making a sequel to Sleeping Dogs.

Set in Hong Kong, Sleeping Dogs was an open world game featuring a main character torn between the police officer and gangster lifestyles.

"There were a lot of factors that went into choosing to do Triad Wars.

Mostly it came down to being overwhelmed by positive reception of Sleeping Dogs and really wanting to continue to expand that universe," said producer Justin Bullard on Reddit," This doesn't exclude a sequel..."

Bullard responded to many questions from fans. And, in one response, he built on United Front's interest in the Sleeping Dogs franchise.

"Right now we are totally focused on making Triad Wars as awesome as it could be," Bullard stated, "but would love to continue making games in the Sleeping Dogs Universe."

Critics praised Sleeping Dogs. Gamespot, giving the title a score of 8 out of 10, stated, "varied missions, hard-hitting melee combat, and a captivating setting make Sleeping Dogs and enjoyable escapade."

In addition, the title has score of 81 on Metacritic.

The studio's current project, Triad Wars, is an MMO where players will have to fight their way to the top of Hong Kong's perilous underworld.

But Bullard posted that Triad Wars, while its story does not connect with Sleeping Dogs, is an "expansion" of the latter.
