Ubisoft, developers of The Crew, are hosting a closed Beta for their upcoming driving-based title. Starting on September 30, Ubisoft invited fans via Twitter to register.

In The Crew, players will drive across the United States in a customizable car--racing friends, speeding through cities, and exploring landmarks. The beta will have: 2 main regions, 5 cities, 30 missions, 66 landmarks, 200 skill challenges, and 6200 miles of road.

The 2 regions in the beta will be the East Coast and Midwest. The rest of the country, however, will be open to explore in the Beta.

But challenges and missions will be limited to the two aforementioned areas. This is, according to Ubisoft, "for the purposes of (the) Closed Beta."

There will be five different customizations available in The Crew; in order to travel across the country and its diverse terrain, you'll need to get all of them. But, for the Closed Beta, only two will be available.

"Expect to discover new vehicles that, in order to drive across a variety of terrains, you'll be able to customize the following specs," Ubisoft stated on their website, "Remember that there are three other specs in the game--Perf, Raid and Circuit--and you'll have a glimpse of those during the Closed Beta!"
