Trump Uses National Prayer Breakfast To Brag About Apprentice Ratings (Watch)

This morning, Trump was at the National Prayer Breakfast, and was set to give a speech. After introducing some of his cabinet, he started talking about Mark Burnett, producer of The Apprentice, who introduced him at the prayer breakfast.

While "thanking" Burnett for his introduction, Trump started The Apprentice, and how successful he was on the show.

That subject appeared to trigger him, and he quickly went off on a tangent about the new Apprentice. He attacked Arnold Schwarzenegger about the current ratings for the show, which he says are terrible. Trump said:

I said to the agent, I'm sorry. I actually got on the phone fired him myself. Cuz he said you don't wanna do it, it will never work...it will never, ever work. But I really fired him after it became the number 1 show. It became so successful, and he wanted a commission...and he didn't want to do the show.

That's what I really said, but we had tremendous success on The Apprentice, and when I ran for President I had to leave the show -- that's when I knew for sure that I was doing it -- and they hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger to take my place, and we know how that turned out -- the ratings went right down the tubes, it's been a total disaster, and Mark will never, ever bet against Trump again.

And I wanna just pray for Arnold if we can for those ratings....

After attacking Schwarzenegger (and to some extent, Burnett -- the guy who introduced him), Trump went on to brag about a few other things -- before he began speaking about the death of the soldier who died during the attack on Yemen last week.
