Located about 30 minutes from Warren, the Crossett Experimental Forest is a research facility run by the United States Forest Service. The forest covers over 13,000 acres and features hiking trails, fishing spots, and picnic areas. 4. Warren Farmers Market
If you happen to be in Warren on a Saturday morning between May and October, be sure to check out the Warren Farmers Market. The market features a variety of local vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts. It's a great way to support local businesses and enjoy the outdoors.
5. Showtime Cinema
Sometimes you just need a break from exploring the great outdoors. When that happens, head to Showtime Cinema in Warren. This locally owned movie theater shows first-run movies at affordable prices. You can even bring your own snacks (as long as they're not too messy!).
6. The Hermitage
If you're interested in history, take a drive to The Hermitage. This historic home was built in the mid-1800s and was once owned by the Bradley family, who were some of the earliest settlers in the area. Today, the home is a museum that offers guided tours and educational programs.
Overall, Warren and the surrounding area offer plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors, learn about history, and support local businesses. It may not be a well-known tourist destination, but it's definitely worth a visit.
