What to do in Qufu, China

Qufu, located in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong, is probably most well-known as the birthplace of Confucius, the Chinese philosopher and scholar who founded Confucianism. As such, the city's main attractions are connected to Confucius and his teachings. However, there is much more to Qufu than just Confucius, and the city is home to a number of other tourist attractions worth exploring. In this article, we will take a closer look at some of the top tourist attractions in Qufu, China.

1. Confucius Temple

The Confucius Temple, sometimes referred to as Kong Miao, is the most important temple in Qufu and is dedicated to the memory of Confucius. It was first built in 478 BC and has been restored many times over the centuries. The temple grounds are extensive and include a number of halls, archways, courtyards, and other structures. Visitors can learn about Confucius' life and teachings, as well as see many artifacts related to him.

2. Confucius Family Mansion
