What to do in Pajala, Sweden
Pajala, Sweden is a small town located in the far north of the country. Despite its size, the town has a lot to offer visitors. Here are some of the top tourist attractions in Pajala.
Jukkasjärvi Icehotel
The Jukkasjärvi Icehotel is a hotel made entirely out of ice and snow. It is the world's first ice hotel and has been a popular destination since it opened in 1989. The hotel is rebuilt every year and features bedrooms, a bar, and a chapel. Visitors can take a tour of the hotel and even spend the night.
The Arctic Circle
Pajala is located just north of the Arctic Circle. This means that visitors can experience the midnight sun in the summer and the northern lights in the winter. There are many tours available that take visitors to view the northern lights, and there are also hiking trails in the area that offer great views of the midnight sun.
Tornedalen Museum
