3. McCloud Heritage Junction: McCloud Heritage Junction is a unique museum in town which exhibits the town’s rich history and culture. Featuring artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays, the museum tells the story of McCloud, its people and its history.
4. McCloud Railroad and McCloud River Railroad Company: McCloud’s rich history of logging and the lumber industry is evident in the town’s famous railroads. The McCloud Railroad and the McCloud River Railroad Company are located in town and offer visitors a chance to experience a piece of the town’s history.
5. Mount Shasta Ski Park: Mount Shasta Ski Park is North America’s fifth largest ski resort, offering more than 32 runs of diverse terrain that are perfect for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.
6. Mossbrae Falls: Mossbrae Falls is a spectacular waterfall located just outside of McCloud, which is worth the short hike. The waterfall is situated on a private land and access requires a specific trailhead located off of Sweetbriar Avenue.
7. Pacific Crest Trail - McCloud River Loop: McCloud is located along the section of the Pacific Crest Trail, which is a popular hiking trail for backpackers and thru-hikers. The McCloud River Loop is a section of the PCT that takes visitors on a scenic loop through the mountains and along the McCloud River.
