What to do in DMZ, South Korea

The Demilitarized Zone, or DMZ, is one of the most unique tourist destinations in South Korea. This historic area lies between North and South Korea and was created in 1953 after the Korean War. Despite its name, the DMZ is anything but demilitarized, with both sides maintaining a military presence. However, it has become a popular tourist attraction for foreigners and South Koreans alike. 1. Third Infiltration Tunnel - The Third Infiltration Tunnel is one of four tunnels discovered that North Korea had built in attempts to infiltrate South Korea. Visitors can go down into the tunnel and see firsthand how the North Korean military built infiltration tunnels under the DMZ.

2. Dorasan Station - The Dorasan Station is located in Paju City, just outside the DMZ, and is the northernmost train station in South Korea.
