Bend, Oregon is a hidden gem in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. This quaint city is nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and boasts a vibrant community, unique shops and restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities to keep visitors entertained. From hiking and kayaking to craft breweries and museums, here are the top tourist attractions in Bend, Oregon.
1. Mt. Bachelor
If you’re visiting Bend during the winter months, be sure to hit the slopes at Mt. Bachelor. This ski resort offers over 4,000 acres of terrain, 101 runs, and a vertical drop of 3,365 feet. Even if you’re not a skier or snowboarder, you can take a scenic ride on the chairlift and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
2. Old Mill District
Located on the banks of the Deschutes River, the Old Mill District is a popular destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The area was once home to one of the largest sawmill operations in the world, but today it’s a hub for art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. Be sure to check out the Les Schwab Amphitheater, where you can catch a concert or movie in the summer months.
3. Deschutes River
