When 'The Room' originally released back in 2003, HD, 4K and 3D viewing formats were not available at the time. It's 2018 and we have various formats to watch movies with Tommy Wiseau now wanting to revisit his disastrous masterpiece.

Thanks to James Franco's 'The Disaster Artist' movie, The Room film has gained more widespread recognition. Basically The Room is one of the most popular "bad" movies of all time mainly because of its absurd plot, terrible acting and more.

A fan of the film asked its director and writer Tommy Wiseau on Twitter if he intends to re-release the movie anytime soon.

Wiseau answered that he might want to convert the film to 3D, 4K and even have 5.1 surround sound.

Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, although The Room is more popular now than it has ever been.

I'm sure many fans of the movie will love to see the film get upgraded to more modern viewing standards.

I recently joined the 4KTV bandwagon just yesterday and the picture quality is a step up from normal HD video.

It's worth getting the upgrade if you see a TV for a good price and one that can fit inside your house.

That said, the only reason to buy a 4KTV is if you own 4K media. The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles are able to output games in 4K while the latter can also play 4K Blu-ray discs.

If you haven't seen the movie before, it's worth watching if you want to see a turkey film that will make you laugh at how bad it is.

Once you have seen 'The Room', it's also worth watching The Disaster Artist too which is a biopic on how the movie was made in the first place.
