'Jill and Jessa: Counting On' Mystery Guest: Josh Duggar Back?

In the upcoming 'confessional' season finale episode of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" the eldest of the Duggar children will be sitting down for a heart to heart about events in their lives.
And while Jinger's wedding will certainly be the topic du jour, we're focused on the episode teaser about a surprise guest. TLC has been running a commercial suggesting that this guest will the Duggars, particularly Jill and Jessa.
So who will the surprise guest be? Is it going to be someone from the most recent season, past seasons, or a controversial figure from the Duggars' pasts? Here are our guesses:
'Jill and Jessa: Counting On' Possible Mystery Guest #1: Josh Duggar
Josh Duggar caused the Duggars to show up in the tabloids in a way they were never expecting. After the shocking revelation of his molestation came out, we were surprised to hear of his exploits on Ashley Madison.
Anna Duggar, Josh's wife, has appeared on this season of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" multiple times. Although she's alluded to the strife that she's had to endure, she's never actually come out and talked about the controversy frankly.
We think Josh may show up for the season finale because we think that bringing him onto "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" might be a savvy way of transitioning him back into the Duggars' lives publicly.
After all, reports have been intermittently coming out that he's been getting intensive treatment for his issues. You gotta admit, having Josh Duggar on this episode would certainly suit the criteria of a "surprise guest."
Also, the show has had disappointing ratings, and there have been rumors that it may be cancelled. This would be one 'hail Mary' that would definitely help bring the audience back.
'Jill and Jessa: Counting On' Possible Mystery Guest #2: Flame
Flame was a recurrent figure on this season of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" and developed a veritable connection with Jess and Ben. We saw them cooking out together, shopping for instruments and sharing their experiences as young married couples.
While Flame wouldn't necessarily be a "shocking" appearance on the finale of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," his appearance would certainly meet the criteria for a surprise guest that proves to be pleathe sant, particularly for Jessa and Ben.
'Jill and Jessa: Counting On' Possible Mystery Guest #3: Tim Tebow
Of all of the sports stars we've seen circulating through the Duggar compound, Tim Tebow has one of the most mysterious connections to the Duggar family.
And his connection appears to have more to do with Jana Duggar than anything else.
Jana Duggar is the eldest girl in the Duggar clan and has yet to be married.
She's hit her mid-20s recently, and has been said to be "waiting for the right man," before she enters into a formal courtship leading to marriage.
Fans have been hoping that Jana Duggar will attend college or move forward with a dedicated career path, especially given the report of her training as a mid-wife. In fact, it was Jana who delivered Jessa's son, Spurgeon.
Jana Duggar's name has been linked to Tim Tebow, the Christian football star, and it certainly would be a nice transition for the show to feature Jana's courtship with a special someone.
If it doesn't turn out to be Tim Tebow, the surprise guest could be one of other the people who want to court Jana Duggar.
'Jill and Jessa: Counting On' Possible Mystery Guest #4: Amy King
CinemaBlend is reporting that Amy King, a cousin of the Duggars, may be getting her own show.
Amy King is Jim Bob Duggar's niece.
CinemaBlend reports that "Amy recently celebrated her 30th birthday, and TLC was on hand to film the big event...The Duggar cousin confirmed the news via Instagram, and have noted they have been working on a project that has taken quite a bit of time and looks to involve TLC cameras." King also posted this on Facebook:
If TLC wants to build a whole new show about King, it would make sense for her to be introduced this way.
Still, we have to wonder why TLC would make a show about her...as opposed to any other random person in the world.
So who will it be? Well, it's clear that we've rounded out a list of individuals who could guide the next season of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" in dramatically different directions.
