Terminator: Dark Fate is out now in many countries around the world and it looks like the movie isn't lighting the Box Office on fire. The movie will need a huge boost in order to break even.

As reported by Box Office Pro, Terminator: Dark Fate only grossed a soft $29.4 million in its opening weekend in North America.

This is actually one of the lowest openings of the entire franchise which is very disappointing. The only movie it beat was Terminator Genisys' earnings of $27 million.

It's hard to tell if word of mouth will carry the movie forward in the near future.

The movie has a 70% rating on Rotten Tomatoes which means reviews are mixed. However, one encouraging sign is that the Audience Score is at 85% so a portion of the audience still likes the movie.

The movie also got a Cinemascore of B+ which is the same grade many of the other Terminator movies got.

It does not appear as if the trio of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and James Cameron was able to increase the movie's awareness to casual viewers.

Terminator: Dark Fate has a production budget of around $185 million and it will need to gross approximately $470 million in order to break even. This is a pretty hard total to achieve with such a low opening weekend that it got.

From a worldwide standpoint, the movie has made only $123.6 million around the world. The film is already out in China and will need a lot more money than this to be profitable.
