The battle with the Beast of Gevaudan all comes down to the season five finale of MTV's Teen Wolf.

In "Apotheosis" episode 20 of season five, the team must find a solution to their Beast problem and the entire team will face their own challenges along the way.

The Beast problem is much worse than Scott, Lydia, Malia, Stiles, Kira, Hayden and Liam ever thought. Scott is going to have to forge a new alliance as he and the rest of his team look to stop the entire town of Beacon Hills from being destroyed by the beast.

Theo will forcefully attempt to acquire more power in as his hunger for more rages on after he is wounded.

Meanwhile, Stiles gives Lydia some news on what exactly her role is in the entire fiasco that has been plaguing the team throughout the entire season.

The season five finale kicks off Parrish is chasing the beast with Gerard and Chris following behind in a vehicle. Gerard has a cane that could potentially kill the beast. Meanwhile, Stiles fills Deacon in on the vanishing twin syndrome. Elsewhere Theo seduces Tracey with a kiss and she says that they should probably lay low but Theo says he can't wait days.

Tracey says she is not like the other she can't heal him. So instead, he asks her to do something else.

Theo says Tracey can give him her power and digs his hands into her. She falls to the ground and Deucalion walks in and says, "and then there were none."

Sebastien is trying to figure out how to operate a vehicle and digs into his memory to see how Mason operated his car. He turns the key and takes off. Malia is still playing a game of hide and seek with Corinne and she knows that Malia is trying to call someone. Braeden is still outside looking in with a laser.

Corinne tells Malia to let her know how many people she is going to kill that night. Stiles, Scott, Liam and Deacon are surprised when they hear a voice beckoning a Dread Doctor to come to him.

The Dread Doctor awakens and when Liam tries to stop him he attacks. He locks them in the building and electrifies it so they can't go after him.

The Dread Doctor proceeds to Sebastien. Sebastien unmasks the Dread Doctor to find a deformed version of Marcel. He asks Marcel what happened to the pike and Marcel reveals that the Argents took it.

Inside Scott is aware of what was being discussed and things look like they're going to get pretty ugly soon.

Parrish tells Chris and Gerard that he lost Sebastien. Chris says eventually Sebastien will figure out that they have the pike and Gerard says they will make him come to them.

Braeden misses a shot at Corinne who tells her that she will get another shot but it better be a head shot. Malia decides to make her way downstairs but Braeden tells her not to move. Deacon says that Mason's twin was entirely gone and that's what made him a chimera.

They believe the DNA could still be in Sebastien as well which means Mason can't be completely gone. Stiles and Scott realize that Doctors wanted Sebastien to remember his name.

When a werewolf remembers his name he turns back into a human.

Elsewhere Sebastien arrives at the station looking for the Argents. He figures out that the Sheriff knows who he is and he realizes that the weapons won't be able to kill him either. The Sheriff plants his gun on the table and says that it can do more damage with a musket. Sebastien says he can walk out with his hands clean or drenched in blood.

The Sheriff decides to hold off by Hayden's sister sees the Sheriff's gun drawn and fires. Hayden and Lydia walk in and when Sebastien tries to attack Lydia she lets out a scream.

He falls to the floor and looks up at Hayden. He stands to his feet and tells her that her name is Hayden before lunging towards her with his claws.

The Sheriff is rushing Lydia into the hospital as she has been stabbed in the neck by Sebastien's claws. Elsewhere, Corinne is trying to lure Malia out and Braeden tells Malia not to listen to her. Corinne says she is back to get what's hers and that Malia's birth felt like a parasite.

She says that Thalia says it was a beautiful gift but it was really theft. Corinne makes her move to the stairs and a shootout between Braeden and Corinne occurs.

Braeden misses and Corinne ends up on the opposite side of the same wall as Malia.

Hayden brought Sebastien to Theo's lair but he doesn't find what he is looking for. Sebastien sees the painting of the beast and the Hellhound. He knows that the Hellhound is Parrish and when Hayden tries to attack him he stops her and wounds her with his claws.

A sound distracts him and he moves on. Theo and Deucalion are making their way through the tunnels but Theo betrays him by electrocuting him. Theo says he will just have to bring Deucalion Scott's eyes.

Stiles visits Lydia in the hospital and she asks him if he found something. He tells her that they did and it was her. Sebastien is still following the traps set by the Argents and Parrish feels that Lydia is badly hurt.

Chris tells Parrish they have to keep pushing and that Parrish saved his life once, now he is going to save Parrish.

Chris tells Parrish that he was the one facing the beast in the fresco. Parrish turns to see the beast and switches into Hellhound mode.

Scott walks down the hallway of the hospital to Liam and tells him that Lydia is going to be okay but she can't really talk. Liam says it's really over and there is nothing they can do to save her. Scott looks at his phone and sees the voicemails from Kira. He checks them and hears that she was leaving but plans to come back to save Mason.

Scott tells Liam to get up because he has an idea and it's not over. Liam, Stiles and Scott get into the room with Lydia and Scott's mother who injects her with a cortisone shot.

Lydia is planning on leaving the hospital but Scott gives Stiles something to deliver to Malia.

Chris and Gerard are still helping Parrish when it comes to taking on the beast. Stiles arrives at the worst moment possible in the house where the standoff is happening and Malia has to save him. The attack begins.

Theo electrocutes Scott and Liam but Scott manages to get to Lydia. During the mix up at the house Stiles is stabbed near the heart with a shard of glass and Malia sees it.

Theo who caused Scott to lose his grip on Lydia, tries to take on the beast but he is quickly put in his place and left at the mercy of Deucalion.

Deucalion was actually on Scott's side the whole time, he reveals he is not actually blind and he breaks Theo's neck.

Lydia is stumbling through the dark room she fell in but it's locked. Theo says that Deucalion broke his neck and Deucalion says good luck with that. Chris and Gerard come out of the nowhere and Gerard shoots Deucalion. Gerard asks when Scott was planning the double cross and Chris answers that they were planning it together. Chris gives Scott the cane and tells him to go now.

He and Gerard have guns drawn at each other. Corinne starts firing shots at Malia who is almost down.

However, Stiles tosses her the bottle that Scott gave him and when Corinne tries to take her power back, Malia overpowers her and draws out all of the power.

Stiles asks Malia and Braeden to take the shard of glass out of him.

Liam tells Scott that he should be the one to take out Sebastien. Scott says they are not going to kill his best friend.

Sebastien comes in and tells them he wants the weapon.

Scott tells him that they want Mason first and when Sebastien says he wouldn't know where to start, Scott tells him to come get it.

Lydia is still struggling to get out of the room when Kira arrives, opens the door and apologizes for being late.

Scott and Liam are taking on the beast all on their own but it's not working out. They try one more attack and are thrown back by the beast who transforms back into Sebastien.

Sebastien is holding Scott with all the intentions of killing him but Liam unsheathes the weapon and tries to stab Sebastien. Sebastien is still choking Scott but in Scott's mind he sees Alison who he believes to be Marie.

Lydia and Kira arrive and Lydia has to scream Mason's name in order for him to break free from the beast. Corey is there to catch him and the spirit of the beast tried to run. Parrish catches it and calls on Scott to throw the weapon. He does and the beast disappears. Scott asks if everyone is okay and out of nowhere, Theo says not everyone.

He tries to electrocute them but Kira stops it with the sword and says the Skin Walkers have a message for him. She says his sister wants to see him and opens up a portal in the ground.

His sister takes his legs and pulls him under.

Gerard is being held and Deacon, Scott, and Liam are trying to find a way to heal Hayden. They find a solution as Scott turns Hayden into a werewolf in their pack.

Stiles is alive and his father says he helped save the entire population of Beacon Hills. The Sheriff welcomes him to his future career in law enforcement. Lydia and Malia arrive at school where everyone is safe.

Scott and Kira are making out in the desert and he asks her if she wants to do this.

She says she has to because she made the Skin Walkers a deal and she will be there as long as it takes.

She gives Scott one of her tails and tells him to keep it safe for her as she joins the Skin Walkers and disappears in the sand.

Lydia tells Stiles that Kira has to come back because she has to graduate. Stiles says they all find their way back to each other, even Alison. He reveals that Sebastien saw Alison in Scott and that she saved Scott's life.

Scott went on to find the Alison's initials in the bookcases of the library and rejoined Stiles and Lydia as all seemed right in Beacon Hills once again.

However, there are tracks from the chamber in the Dread Doctors lair and they lead to an opening. Nope, all is not right.

"Apotheosis" was certainly one of the most nerve-racking finales in the history of Teen Wolf. There were so many pieces that needed to come together in order for the team to find their solution but this is one of the best seasons of Teen Wolf thus far.

Fans will have to tune in next season to see what awaits the pack as they continue to fight off the evil in Beacon Hills.
