Taylor Swift has just released a new single today called 'Look What You Made Me Do'.

The song further solidifies Swift's departure from her country music roots. This may or may not please everyone that has been a fan of hers over the years...

If you want to listen to the song, it's available now on Spotify, iTunes and YouTube. The track is 3 minutes and 32 seconds long. It has a fast paced chorus and it sounds like she has gotten advice from her best friend Lorde.

The lead up to the chorus has a similar sound to Lorde. Their voices sound eerily similar for some reason that I cannot get me head around it.

The chorus isn't anything special in my opinion. She just repeats the line of 'Look What You Made Me Do' several times over and over again.

You really have to be a fan of Lorde or Swift's latest work from the album "1989" to really appreciate this song. This is a huge departure from any of the first four albums she dished out.

I've been out of the loop when it comes to Swift's personal life, so I don't know what her problems or rivalries are at the moment. What I do know is that the lyrics of this song show Swift's darker side.

Even the lyrics video posted below has a dark tone to it.

This is not a happy sounding song that's for sure. There is even a sound bite near the end of the song where she says Taylor Swift cannot go to the phone right now because she is dead!

It sounds as if Swift wants to show her darker side as she previously just sang about relationships and things like that in her older material.

It's no doubt 'Look What You Made Me Do' will be a huge hit this year and you will listen to it once the radio stations blast it on repeat to the lead up of her new album.

Anyway, I'm hoping the album "Reputation" out on November 10th, 2017 has more softer and happier songs like the ones she used to do. The new song is more something you might listen to if you are in a night club.

It's certainly not bad, but it's not my cup of tea in my opinion. You can listen to the song yourself below.
