The CW has now shared a plot synopsis for a special Thanksgiving episode of Supergirl that is due to air later this month.

The main good guys are still battling Agent Liberty/Ben Lockwood who is xenophobic towards aliens that don't come from planet Earth.

Supergirl Season 4 touches upon racism and discrimination making this season for more interesting to watch than Season 3. The Thanksgiving special episode will be airing during the Thanksgiving holiday and you can read the synopsis down below.

"Call to Action’– (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV). THANKSGIVING — Everyone gathers for Thanksgiving but Kara (Melissa Benoist) is feeling down after her televised debate with Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) about the anti-alien sentiment coursing through National City. Meanwhile, James (Mechad Brooks) and Lena (Katie McGrath) argue about the best way to handle the Children of Liberty. Antonia Negret directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Daniel Beaty.

It's interesting that Supergirl is touching upon similar themes to Fox's The Gifted based on mutant X-Men. The Gifted also has a cult-like hate group that hates anyone that isn't a pure human being.

These themes are realistic and the shows are trying to tell us that we should never judge a book by its cover. People should embrace people who are different no matter what they look like on the outside.

Supergirl airs every Sunday night on The CW and it's currently in its fourth season. Be sure to keep it locked here at Empty Lighthouse Magazine because we will review and recap every single episode that airs.
