When Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow return to The CW network in early 2018, Season 3 of both shows will share the same timeslot but it will be rotated.

This is a strange move, although it means the Monday timeslot will have 23 new episodes in consecutive weeks for Arrowverse fans.

The CW announced the changes via a press release. New episodes of Supergirl will air first starting on January 15th, 2018 at 8:00pm to 9:00pm.

Supergirl will continue to air for the next few weeks up until February 5th, 2018. After that date, Mondays will be occupied by DC's Legends of Tomorrow instead at 8:00pm to 9:00pm.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow is then scheduled to air for nine consecutive weeks on February 12th, 2018 up until its Season 3 finale airs on April 9th, 2018. After that date, Supergirl will be back from its two month break.

Supergirl will then start to air on April 16th, 2018 until June 18, 2018 at 8:00pm to 9:00pm. It's weird The CW is doing this at it might affect the ratings for both shows since they are each taking long breaks.

That being said, The CW is mainly doing this to make way for some new shows that are soon to air in 2018. Two new shows coming to the network are Black Lightning and Life Sentence.

As of right now, only Supergirl and DC's Legends of Tomorrow are affected by a timetable change. It appears Arrow and The Flash will remain in their usual timeslots for the time being.
