Sunset Overdrive, the frenetic open-world title from Insomniac Games, launches today for the Xbox One. Featuring impossible parkour and high-flying action, the game has been one of the most anticipated titles for Microsoft's flagship console.

And, according to critics, the hype was justified; the game currently holds as a score of 82 on Metacritic.

"Sunset Overdrive is about putting fun first," states Escapist Magazine, calling it an "energetic, fun-filled adventure."

Gamespot gave the title an 8 out of 10--calling it one of the best titles available for the Xbox One.

"Insomniac Games has crafted an excellent game in Sunset Overdrive." Gamespot writes, "it's not without a few niggling issues, but you'll be too busy enjoying yourself to care.

You can compare it to games like Crackdown, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and Ratchet and Clank, but by combining the best elements of those games into a single package and injecting it with an anything goes, rock and roll attitude, you'll never think of it as anything but a singular achievement that stands tall on its own merits."

IGN gave Sunset Overdrive a 9.0 out of 10, stating that it "visually pops" and is "a hell of a lot of fun."

Sunset Overdrive's reception matches its pre-release hype. And it seems that Xbox has the exclusive for which it was looking. For more about the Sunset Overdrive, visit its official website here.
