Stone Cold Steve Austin initially had a contract with the WWE to make podcasts that would be aired on the WWE Network.

Well now that contract has expired and it seems as if Steve Austin is not returning to the company anytime soon.

As reported by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com (via NODQ), Steve Austin's contract with the company expired recently which is why we never saw him partake in many activities during WrestleMania 33 weekend.

There have been no reports if Austin wants to renew his contract, but for now we won't be seeing anymore podcasts for the foreseeable future.

Austin's podcasts were one of the the most watched shows on the WWE Network. His most popular interviews so far were of Vince McMahon and Triple H. Many people were interested if Vince McMahon and Triple H would address the situation involving CM Punk's departure. The bad blood between the trio still stands as so nothing has been resolved yet.

Anyway back to Austin, WWE was disappointed in his podcast with Dean Ambrose a few months ago.

That interview was disastrous as Ambrose was avoiding Austin's questions and WWE didn't like the way that Ambrose was criticizing Brock Lesnar as being a lazy worker.

After that podcast, WWE chose not to air any more new episodes of Austin's podcasts.

Considering how popular Austin is, it's more than likely the two sides will agree to another contract in the near future.

WWE and Austin are still on good terms with one another. Hopefully Austin is brought back to do a podcast with The Undertaker.

Another person that seems to have left WWE recently is Mick Foley.

Foley was the RAW GM for the last couple of months, but has now been replaced with Kurt Angle. Foley also didn't leave WWE on bad terms, so we might see him again in the future too.
