Lucasfilm has finally revealed the name of the Han Solo standalone film that will be out next year.

It seems as if they have taken a page out of 20th Century Fox as the film has a simple title similar to 'Logan'.

Lucasfilm announced on the Star Wars website that the film will be called "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

Not to mention the movie has wrapped up production so it should be out in time for May 25th, 2018. Unlike Star Wars: Episode IX, the film will not suffer any type of release date delay.

The movie will be set shortly before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy featuring a younger Han Solo and Lando Calrissian.

The Millennium Falcon as well as Chewbacca are also set to return. There are also going to be some new faces in the movie too.

Originally, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were in charge of directing "Solo: A Star Wars Story" but Lucasfilm booted the pair out due to creative differences. They weren't the only ones fired because Colin Trevorrow was booted out of Star Wars: Episode IX too.

Ron Howard was brought in to finish Solo while J.J. Abrams is back for Episode IX.

There seems to be a curse going on for the Star Wars franchise. In related news, it was announced today that EA is shutting down Visceral Games.

Visceral Games was the studio that was set to release a new Star Wars video game. Well EA shut the studio down and the game is getting a different approach developed by another gaming studio.

Hopefully things can go smoothly for all Star Wars projects going forward in the near future. Thankfully, things have been smooth regarding the release of this year's Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
