Space Jam Sequel Could Have Starred Tony Hawk

While a real Space Jam sequel is now being developed by LeBron James, another movie from the franchise could have happened in the early '00s.

This sequel would have starred skateboarder Tony Hawk and would have been named 'Skate Jam'.

Tony Hawk made the revelation himself over on his official Twitter account earlier this month. You can read what he had to say about it posted down below.

"In 2003, I was requested to meet with Warner Brothers about doing a film tentatively titled “Skate Jam.” They were bringing back Looney Tunes with “Back In Action” & then wanted to start on my project immediately. A week later Back In Action bombed & Skate Jam was shelved forever".

It appears he also shared some concept art on what the film could have looked like too.

This would have been a cool movie if it was to come into fruition as skateboarding was super popular in the '90s and '00s.

Looney Tunes: Back in Action was however a Box Office flop. The budget for the film was $80 million, but the film only made $68.5 million at the worldwide Box Office. The flop of the movie shelved Skate Jam forever.

As for Space Jam 2, the movie will start production later this year during the NBA off season. LeBron James is helping to make the movie too so he's not just the star.

Anyway, hopefully we can learn more details about the movie very soon. The first Space Jam movie came out way back in 1996 and starred none other than Michael Jordan.
