Sony 'Album of The Day' App Allows Music Lovers To Purchase Music At 70% Off Retail

Sony Music Entertainment launched its first music flash sales app, "Album of the Day," for iPhone and iPod touch.

Here's how it works.

Album of the Day will notify fans daily with a single album offering. This will give fans of all types the opportunity to find albums that they might not have in their music library and will also help fans discover music they may be interested in.

In attempts to make music more affordable for the fans who love it the app offers albums at as much as 70% off the retail price.

The new Album of the Day App includes the following features:

Daily Offers that will consist of a new album every 24 hours, available for purchase at a discounted price up to 70% off, that is also limited for 24 hours. App Content will allow users to view artist images, read summaries of the album and preview clips of the tracks from the album.

Users can spread the word and share access to offers with friends through their social networks. Checkout is made easier so that users can purchase albums using their iTunes account and download albums directly to their iTunes library.
