Some scammers are currently pretending to be singer Cassadee Pope on social media asking fans for money. Well the real Cassadee Pope has confirmed that these people are scammers and fans should not believe the fake accounts.

Pope posted on her official verified Twitter page that there are some fake people posing as her on social media. Here's what she had to say on the matter.

"I guess some doofuses are telling you guys they are me on this thing and asking you for money. If it doesn’t have a blue check mark, it ain’t me. Ignore the doofuses. Doofuses, piss off and leave my peeps alone."

Usually celebrities do not beg fans for money so avoid fake profiles online whenever you see them. Only verified accounts are the ones to be trusted as they usually have a blue tick to confirm their validity.

Anyway, Pope has recently released a new single called 'Take Me Home' and is helping Kelly Clarkson to judge/mentor contestants on the newest season of The Voice.

Cassadee Pope is no stranger to The Voice as she won the event herself back in the third season in 2012.

Pope got her start in the music industry several years ago being the lead singer in the pop/punk rock band named Hey Monday.

Sadly, the group when on an indefinite hiatus and Pope has been a singles artist for the past six or so years.
