Singer, Touched By An Angel Star Della Reese Dies At 86

Renowned singer, actor, TV host, and minister Della Reese has died at the age of 86.

Reese was best known for her work on Touched by an Angel, although she has appeared on dozens of TV shows, and done countless films and other media projects. Reese was suffering from diabetes and other problems before she died.

Della Reese was best known for Touched by an Angel, which ran from the mid 1990s through the mid 2000s. In all, the show ran for 9 seasons and 212 episodes.

Reese was one of the stars of the show, playing Tess, the supervisor. Although the show started off slowly, it eventually became popular and continues to run in on MEtv as well as other networks.

But that's not where Reese started her entertainment career. In fact, she started singing gospel nearly 40 years before.

She released multiple songs before moving into jazz and releasing some chart-topping records. She continued in music for years while she got into television.

Reese started hosting shows like The Tonight Show, and she got main roles in several shows and films. She continued to appear on TV shows in cameo roles throughout the 2000s.

In addition, Reese was an ordained minister, and she ran her own church. Toward the end of her career, she focused a lot of her effort on her church, and did concerts to benefit the organization.

At the time of her death, The Squander estimates that her net worth was $1-2 million.

She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and music and TV fans.
