20th Century Fox has now released a second new trailer for the movie called 'Dark Phoenix'. This is a follow up movie to 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse with many of the cast members returning to reprise their roles.

20th Century Fox originally wanted Dark Phoenix to be released in November 2018, but the movie got delayed. Not to mention many reshoots were done because the movie was not well received by test audiences.

This second trailer proves to delay may have been worth it because the movie looks far better now compared to the first trailer.

The second trailer may also reveal a big spoiler, so be wary if you want to watch it.

This is the first X-Men movie to be directed by Simon Kinberg. Kinberg usually is a producer so this is the first time he will be helming a movie for himself.

Anyway, you can read the synopsis for the movie posted down below.

"In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite -- not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy."

Dark Phoenix will be released in North America on June 7th, 2019. You can check out the new trailer below.
