There is bound to be controversy over the video of Ellie climbing up the rock wall like a little spider-monkey. It's incredible to watch her at such and amazingly young age.

She does it almost effortlessly and shows upper body strength that is far beyond her age.

Ellie doesn't appear to be wearing any harnesses in the video below which has to force the question as to whether or not she should be climbing the wall in such a dangerous manner.

"Her parents, Rachael and Zak Farmer, are competitive climbers who always hoped she'd join in the family pastime," according to a CNN report.

"Ellie was climbing with her mother throughout her pregnancy and has been a fixture at their local gym in Flagstaff, Arizona, her entire life."

"She's really been part of the climbing community since birth," said Zak Farmer, 31 according to the report. "When she was first opening her eyes, she was at the gym, seeing climbers climb."

According to the report her father also built her an 8-foot wall in her bedroom which is one foot taller than the wall she is scaling in the video below.

"I want to encourage her to be a child, to develop those muscles," said Rachael Farmer according to the report.

"People are really excited about what we're doing and that we're getting our kid outside, keeping her active and encouraging her to be strong as she grows older."

Do you think that this is a good idea by the Farmers or is it dangerous for children as young as Ellie? Let us know in the comment section below.
