Both Sony and Marvel Studios have not been very clear to the public if the new Venom movie will have any ties to the current Peter Parker/Spider-Man played by Tom Holland.

Well rumors have surfaced that the two movie franchises could still be connected after all.

According to a source that has talked to Screen Rant, they have details on one scene that has been filmed for Venom.

The source says that a scene took place in Atlanta in a building that acts as the 'Life Foundation' organization.

The people in the scene included Riz Ahmed’s character, Carlton Drake, who is doing a field trip of the facility.

The other name that is rumored to have been on the set that day is none other than Tom Holland himself!

Screen Rant goes on to say that the scene was reportedly shot on private property therefore making it very hard for any leaked set photos to be released.

It goes without saying that this is just a rumor for now and no official confirmation of Peter Parker or Spider-Man being in Venom has been announced yet.

That said, Venom has always been a famous Spider-Man villain and it would not make much sense if the wall crawler was not involved in any way.

After all, Venom got his powers mainly because Spider-Man himself wore the symbiote suit first.

Sony and Marvel Studios have had an agreement to work with one another so it's not too unlikely to see the characters crossing over.

If this is true, hopefully Venom can return the favor and feature in an upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel in the near future.

Anyway, Sony's Venom movie releases in North America on October 5th, 2018. It stars Tom Hardy who plays Eddie Brock and Venom.
