Rumor: The First Solo: A Star Wars Story Trailer Is Releasing Very Soon

Disney/Lucasfilm is playing close to the chest by not releasing a single trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story even though it will be out as soon as May 2018.

That said, we might finally see the first trailer for the film later this week sometime.

This new rumor comes from the Twitter page of Star Wars Junk. The people running the Twitter page have heard from their sources at AMC that a trailer could land as early as this Wednesday.

#Solo trailer this week, most likely Wednesday. Source at the corporate side of AMC tells me Solo trailer will be placed (not attached) with Maze Runner releasing Jan 26. But trailer will hit online days before. Guys been right before. But file as rumor as always. (Errors fixed)

There is a lot of speculation over the quality of the film mainly because it went through a lot of production troubles. First Ron Howard overtook directorial duties and more recently the film had to undergo a lot of re-shoots.

However, some early footage for the film was screened to the media in Germany and thankfully the first reactions have been positive.

Disney/Lucasfilm needs this movie to be a hit because Star Wars: The Last Jedi received a polarizing reception from hardcore Star Wars fans.

The Han Solo movie is the first Star Wars film since 2005's Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith that releases in the month of May.

The previous new Star Wars films releases in December when the competition wasn't as high.

Solo might have a tough time at the Box Office mainly because it is releasing in the same month as Deadpool 2 as well as Disney's own Avengers: Infinity War.

As of right now, Disney has no plans to delay the film so the May 25th release date still stands.
