Rumor: Cheetah Might Be The Main Villain In Wonder Woman 2

Ares the 'God of War' was the main bad guy in the first Wonder Woman movie that came out last Summer. Wonder Woman 2 is already announced to release in December 2019 and plans are already underway for the next main villain. 

According to a rumored report from That HashTag Show, the script for Wonder Woman 2 will heavily feature the villain of Cheetah. Cheetah is basically a cat-like lady and is one of Wonder Woman's more popular and famous villains. 

If you have never heard of the character before, you may have already seen her if you played the Injustice 2 video game. This iteration of Cheetah is said to be based on the Barbara Ann Minerva version of the character. 

What's even more interesting is that the report says that Emma Stone was asked to play the role, but sadly Stone turned the role down.

Stone was already in a comic book movie franchise playing the role of Gwen Stacy in the two The Amazing Spider-Man films.

Since The Amazing Spider-Man movie franchise abruptly ended in 2014, Stone has yet to re-join another comic book movie franchise. Stone's career won't be derailed though since she is an Academy Award winning actress for her role in 'La La Land'. 

Currently, filming for Wonder Woman 2 is set to start as early as this May so we might hear of some new casting reports very soon.

Gal Gadot is set to return and even Chris Pine is rumored to come back as well.

The report also says the sequel is to take place somewhere in the '80s where Wonder Woman has to battle the Soviet Union.

A sequel was quickly commissioned after the first Wonder Woman movie became a huge worldwide hit in the Summer of 2017.
