Marvel has made a lot of movies since the first Iron Man came out in 2018. Now the studio wants to diversify by giving us movies that are from different genres.

Marvel has always done comedy as seen with films like Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok and more. However, we've never seen a romantic comedy from Marvel before but we might see one very soon.

Russian website Kinometro saw a promo video of Ant-Man and the Wasp recently at a special movie event and Marvel is describing the new film as its first ever romantic comedy. You can read the translated passage down below.

Completed the presentation of projects from Marvel: BLACK PANTHER (February 15), which was presented by a fresh and rather invigorating trailer, and ANT-MAN AND THE WASP. The last picture, the rental of which is scheduled for July 5, 2018, Elena Brodskaya called "the first rom-com from Marvel." On this project was shown a promo video, in general terms introducing the details of the plot and characters.

The superhero genre has been going on for the better part of a decade, although there are fears fatigue could be settling in soon.

20th Century Fox has been doing different things lately with R rated films such as Deadpool and Logan.

Fox is again changing the genre by doing a semi-horror film with the release of New Mutants next year. It appears Marvel is following suit and phase 4 of its films will give us some fresh and new experiences.

Marvel is unlikely to show much footage of Ant-Man and the Wasp to the public until next year.

Marvel will instead be heavily focusing on marketing the huge Avengers: Infinity War film for the foreseeable future. Hopefully we can an official confirmation about the film being a romantic comedy very soon.
