Frozen II will be out in North America this weekend, but the critics have already seen the movie. From the looks of things, the sequel isn't as good as the 2013 original.

The critics have reviewed Frozen II and the movie currently has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 77 percent. This is down from the original Frozen which has a 90 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The average score for Frozen II is 6.73/10 meaning we are looking at mostly 3 to 3.5 star reviews. As of time of writing, 115 reviews are fresh while 34 reviews are rotten.

It seems as if critics like the 2013 movie more than this sequel. You can read the Critics Consensus posted down below.

"Frozen II can't quite recapture the showstopping feel of its predecessor, but it remains a dazzling adventure into the unknown."

We'll have to wait and see what the audience thinks of the sequel. That being said, the movie is still expected to gross over $1 billion as the Frozen franchise still remains to be one of Disney's most popular properties.

Frozen II is released in North America on November 22nd, 2019. You can read the synopsis posted down below.

"Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In "Frozen," Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In "Frozen 2," she must hope they are enough."
