Rotten Tomatoes Rating Revealed For Both Skyscraper and Mission: Impossible - Fallout

July is looking like a month for old school action movies as Skyscraper is out this weekend with Mission: Impossible - Fallout following two weeks later.

Well the reviews are out for both films and it sounds like the latter is getting better reviews from critics.

Anyway, let's first look at Skyscraper starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson which is out this weekend. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has received a rating of 50 percent. 53 reviewers seem to like the film while another 53 reviewers seem to dislike it.

"Well-cast yet derivative, Skyscraper isn't exactly a towering action thriller feat, but it's solidly constructed enough to stand among the genre's more mildly diverting features."

Praise has been given to the cast and its homage to old school '80s action movies. That said, some reviewers don't like its over the top action and they also say it is slow to start at the beginning.

Things are looking better for Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Fallout which is getting universal praise from just about everyone. The Rotten Tomatoes rating for the sixth Mission: Impossible movie is a very impressive 97 percent.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout has 36 fresh reviews and only one rotten review. The score for the film is 8.7/10 so many reviewers are giving it 4 or 4.5 out of 5 stars on average.

The Mission: Impossible series has been one of the best rated movie series of all time. The critics consensus gives us an indication that the latest effort will not disappoint fans.
