Rampage is a video game series that was popular back in '80s.

Well now a Hollywood adaptation is being made with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as the main star. If you love monster movies, you will probably want to go to the cinema next year to see all of the destruction.

Warner Bros. has now released the full trailer for the film online for everyone to see.

Despite the premise of the film, the trailer shows a more serious tone.

The movie is being directed by Brad Peyton who previously worked with The Rock on 'San Andreas'. It also stars Naomie Harris, Malin Ackerman, Joe Manganiello and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

It's interesting to note Warner Bros. has cast many DC actors into Rampage.

The Rock is soon to play Black Adam while Joe Manganiello is playing Deathstroke in future films.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Malin Akerman previously starred in the comic book film Watchmen. As for Naomie Harris, you may remember her in Skyfall.

Anyway, the story revolves around The Rock's character who befriends a silverback gorilla named George. However things turn ugly when humans start experimenting on George.

The experiments turn George into a huge raging monster that terrorizes the city like King Kong. It is soon learned that George isn't the only raging lunatic out there. Other deadly animals are also on the loose.

This is a Hollywood take on the franchise since the original Rampage video game lacked any type of storyline. In the original game, you just controlled the monsters causing as much destruction as possible while acquiring points for your actions.

You can check out the first official trailer for the film down below. The movie releases in North America on April 20th, 2018.

Both Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla 2014 made a lot of money at the Box Office so there's a chance this movie could be a success too.
