Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is not just a famous Hollywood actor because he's now taken the role of a producer.

One of his latest projects is an upcoming movie called 'The Janson Directive' which will star his wrestling buddy John Cena in the main role.

As reported by Variety, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was originally going to play the main character in 'The Janson Directive', but he had to pull out due to his insanely busy schedule.

He is now just a producer on the film as they decided to cast the role to WWE's John Cena instead.

Dwayne Johnson made the big announcement over on his official Facebook page. You can read more in his comments posted down below.

"Found my star! Congrats to my good bud John Cena on landing the lead role for our movie, THE JANSON DIRECTIVE. A project that myself, Seven Bucks Productions, our production partners and Universal Studios have been developing for years now.

Congrats man and I’m excited to go on this journey with you. Thank you for your commitment to the role and remember, as your producer if you screw up, I’m coming to set and droppin’ the People’s Elbow on ya. And you know first hand how devastating my elbow drops can be 😉💪🏾 Congrats my friend and let’s go make a good one."

The movie will be similar in tone to the Jason Bourne movies as the book version of the film has been co-authored by Robert Ludlum.

The Rock is producing the film alongside his former wife Dany Garcia and their company Seven Bucks Productions.

This isn't the first movie that The Rock will serve as a producer. Later this year, The Rock is releasing a wrestling biopic called 'Fighting with my Family' about the life of WWE star Paige and her wrestling family.
