Radiohead drummer Philip Selway has debuted a new song, "It Will End in Tears," from his upcoming solo album, Weatherhouse, via Bella Union's Soundcloud.

"It Will End in Tears" is probably the most conventional thing we've heard from a Radiohead offshoot in years.

No dense electronics or film-score loud/quiet dynamics, just a straight, movingly-orchestrated Beatles-esque ballad. Fans who miss the traditional brit-rock of Pablo Honey and The Bends will feel right at home with the output from band's most overlooked member.

??Weatherhouse is Selway's second full-length solo album and third release in general (2011's Running Blind EP).

His first album, Familial, was met with modest critical praise, but seemed to be drowned out amongst more high-profile releases from the Radiohead camp: Thom Yorke's Atoms for Peace and collaborations with Burial and Four Tet, Johnny Greenwood's film scores, and the band's eighth studio album, The King of Limbs.

??Selway had remained an important contributor to Radiohead even as they've slowly eschewed traditional rock instrumentation. Since the release of the band's seminal Kid A, Selway has provided drum programming in lieu of his standard kit.

He also contributes backing vocals during live performances. ??

In addition to his duties in Radiohead, Selway volunteers with Samaritans, an emotional-support group, and made a cameo appearance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as part of fictional wizard-rock band, The Weird Sisters. ??
