Persona 5: The Animation continues this week and The Phantom Thieves have a new member.

After freeing her in last week's episode, Futaba officially joins the team and she has many good reasons why she wants to take part in their crusades.

While "I'll Guide You To Victory" could be described as an entirely filler episode, but we do get an idea on the type of shady things that has been happening in Japan.

Many of the citizens have died due to having a mental breakdown and nobody knows why this is happening.

Futaba speculates that her Mom was a target and was actually killed because she was not fully conscious when the car hit her on the road.

Futaba hopes that she can find the truth of her mother's death thanks to the help with the Phantom Thieves.

After all, it was Futaba's Mom who started doing research on cognitive pscience but all of her research has been missing.

The Phantom Thieves feel the man in the black mask could be playing a part in all of this as he infiltrates people's minds to essentially kill them.

Futaba's notion is shared by Sojiro as he feels that her mother's death was shrouded in secrecy as well.

The Phantom Thieves have to get to the bottom of all of this in order to find out who is truly responsible for all of the recent deaths that have been occurring in the city.

The rest of the episode was unimportant as it mostly showed the team just hanging out in the leisure activities that you can do in the game.

The day that the team go to the beach is highlighted here and we even get to see Ren partaking in his many part time jobs.

The one thing I missed in the game was making a good curry, but this episode covers this and Ren is good at cooking - although his curry is very spicy.

Outside of that though, nothing big really happens in this week's side stories because it sounds like their next target won't be shown until episode 19 next week.

That being said, it does look like the anime is rushing through the final phases of the game and might cut out a lot of content.

It's too bad the anime is only going to last for a few more episodes as it would have been better if the series lasted a little while longer.

However, Persona 5: The Animation is still fun to watch even for those that have already played through the game. Let's hope the last few episodes airing in the next few weeks don't cut out too much content from the game.
