Street Figher: Assassin's Fist, the live action miniseries based on the legendary fighting franchise, comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD today.

The series is about Ken and Ryu's training under Gouken. In addition, the series chronicles the tragic events of Gouken's youth.

According to Funimation's website, the Blu-Ray version of the series will have: commentary by director Joey Ansah, a video diary by Ken, extra scenes, outtakes, a "making of" special, and a compilation of the series' trailers.

Assassin's Fist has interspersed flashbacks that chronicle the story of Akuma. Starting out as Gouki, the young student quickly becomes fascinated by Satsui no Hado-- the art of murderous intent.

Eventually, he is expelled from his school and completes his training in solitude. He turns into Akuma when he completes his training.

Akuma kills his former sensei, and Gouken wants to prevent the same tragedy from happening to Ken and Ryu.

But the fates of the young students are unclear, as both of them express interest in Satsui no Hado at different points in the story.

In addition to the release of Assassin's Fist, its sequel has been announced. Titled World Warrior, it will introduce Chun Li, Guile, and Sagat, according to Polygon. World Warrior is set to release in either late 2015 or early 2016.
